Business at Modulus Data is booming. We need to hire two-three experienced Business Development Managers to join our technical all-star team to work highly-qualified leads and generate new opportunities. This role sells to various client executives primarily in the HR departments of large enterprise and mid-market businesses. While most contracts are closed through conference calls and Skype presentations, occasional travel for face-to-face selling has proven beneficial.


  • Technical understanding of Taleo or another major talent acquisition program.
  • Taleo and Oracle sales experience.
  • Self-motivated professionals with a passion for following up on leads.

What will you do in this role?

  • Listen deeply to enterprise-level technical needs from HR executives and IT professionals.
  • Work with the Modulus Data technical team to identify appropriate solutions and services to meet customer data integration needs.
  • Write proposals and present to decision makers the benefits of our technical solutions.
  • Skillfully negotiate with others to achieve desired results and meet customer needs.
  • Forecast sales activity and revenue achievement.
  • Perform high level, on-line demos of our solutions via web technologies and web-based presentations.
  • Follow-up on highly-qualified leads via phone and email.
  • Prospect with some cold-calling to generate new opportunities.


  • 6+ years of quota carrying software or technology sales and account management experience.
  • Software sales experience in the software-as-a-service (SaaS) & application/data integration realm.
  • Experience managing the sales cycle from business champion to the CEO/CFO level.
  • Consistent earnings in past Account Executive roles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Experience managing and closing complex sales-cycles.
  • Previous Sales Methodology training, strong customer references preferred.
  • Bachelor or University Degree preferred.

  • This sales job can be done remotely from your own home.
  • Relocation to U.S. Sales Office in New York City or Canadian Technical Office in Quebec is possible, if desired by the applicant.
  • Competitive base salary based on experience and a 10% unlimited commission on sales. First-year sales quota is $1 million.
  • Promotion to Director of Sales likely for the best salesperson by end of the year.
